As a Teaching Instructor in Early Childhood Education in the College of Education and Human Services, Beth Satterfield teaches Curriculum and Instruction 410, Curriculum and Instruction 411, Reading 423, and Curriculum and Instruction/EDUC 414. She received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University in the field of Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood, and a Master’s Degree from WVU in Child Development. Prior to teaching at the university, Satterfield taught third and fourth grade, as well as preschool. Her research interests include early childhood education and emergent literacy. She has had the opportunity to travel to Italy to observe the preschools in both Pistoia and Reggio Emilia.
